Softball Tournament Results
This was the 51st Annual SPYs Charities Softball Tournament with seven teams competing in the Men's division. Once again Craig Cappon was the Commissioner for the tournament. Craig is to be commended for working hard to keep the tradition of ball games at the Farmer’s Picnic alive.
Here is how the teams finished:
First Place: Eddie’s Mafia
Second Place: Best Tax Service
Third Place Dirty Birds
Fourth Place: Ionia Boys
Fifth Place: Pushin P
Sixth Place: Gladiators
Seventh Place: Butter Makers
The Most Valuable Player Award was presented to Eddie Salazar.
We thank Daniel Salazar, Veda Salazar, Shane Arizola, Jaxon Thomas, Maddie Thomas, Keenan Miller and Alvynn Carrasco braved the warm temperature and humidity to keep score on the big scoreboard during the tournament.

S.P.Y. Leadership Transitions
Pictured (below left) is SPY incoming President Jeff Gibbs presenting the SPY’s “Presidential Service Plaque” To outgoing President Steve Grosshans. Having served three terms as President, Steve was being term-limited out of office in accordance with the SPY’s By-Laws, and was being recognized for his outstanding service to the organization and the community.
