Texas Hold ‘Em Fundraiser Next Week

The next Texas Hold ‘Em fundraiser event the SPY’s are scheduled to work is coming up starting this Monday, July 21st. through Thursday, July 24th.  What’s involved is easy and essential to help underwrite the SPY’s various community programs.

Various shift volunteers are in the process of being scheduled now.  If you have never worked a Texas Hold ‘Em event and would like to see what it’s all about, how about dropping in and get a little orientation with one of our experienced veterans.  We work these Hold ‘Em’s three time a year and are always looking for volunteers.  Come see what it’s all about!

Interested?  Give Rosie Best a call at 517-331-0836 and see what times we will be working when you could stop by.

Parting Comments

·      Deep Thought of the Week: :  The person who cannot see the ultimate becomes a slave to the immediate.

·      Notable Quote: “Cyndi Lauper claims that ‘girls just wanna have fun’…Pffft!  Puh---lease, girls just wanna eat without getting fat and lose weight without exercising.”

·      That’s Puny Department:  Dijon vu—The same mustard as yesterday.

·      Did You Know Section: In the history of Major League Baseball the record for most runs scored in one inning in the American League is 17, which was done by Boston on June 18, 1953.  In the National League the record is 18, which was done by Chicago on September 6, 1883.  The “victim” in each case was the Detroit Tigers.
