The Lakewood Community Council Christmas Basket distribution is THIS Saturday!!!

The Christmas Basket project helps nearly 200 families in the Lakewood area.  Volunteers are needed to deliver the baskets to the designated families in the Sunfield area.  Anyone that would like to help out, just show up THIS Saturday, December 7th. at the Central Methodist Church in downtown Lake Odessa.  It will take just a couple hours of your time, at the most.  For Further information, please contact John Fisher at 517-648-0969.  Thank you!

· Updates-----At the last meeting of the SPY’s, the following appropriations were made:

+  We made our annual $500 donation to the Lakewood Community Councils Christmas Basket program that helps needy area families during the holidays.

+  We made another annual donation for $250 to the Lakewood Project Graduation activity.  The SPY’s have been a sponsor of this program since it’s inception 34 years ago.

+  We also covered the costs of local kids participating in various youth sports activities involving football; soccer; and cheer.  The total for this round was $1,320.

· Mark your calendars!  On Friday, January 10, 2020, the SPY’s Annual Meeting of the Membership will be held at the Centennial Acres clubhouse.  Be looking for a letter in the mail detailing all of the information about the meeting.  Please note that this year’s Annual Meeting will be held on a Friday NOT on a Saturday!
