SPY’s Community Newsletter #165 (11/6/21)

Thank You Texas Hold ‘Em Volunteers! A HUGE Sunfield Area SPY salute goes out to the fine folks that responded to our plea for volunteers to help out at the first Texas Hold ‘Em fundraiser that we have been able to work at in over a year and a half thanks to COVID. A tremendous thank you goes out to the following great crew: Jeff Gibbs (the event chairman) (2 shifts) Betsy Gibbs John Fisher (3 shifts) Mandy Peabody Shari Woodman Rodney Clark DeAnna Clark (2 shifts) Wayne Simmons (2 shifts) Dewie Miller Zeke Cappon Christina Grosshans Rene Strimbeck Craig Cappon We wish to send out a special acknowledgement, (not that all our volunteers aren’t special), to Denise Newman who read about our need for volunteers to sell chips in a SPY’s Community Newsletter. She called and said she was willing to help even though she had never worked at a Texas Hold ‘Em, and ended up sticking around for four shifts! That folks is commitment on steroids! We can’t begin to tell you how important these Texas Hold “Em fundraisers are to our ability to provide the many youth and community programs the SPY’s support. Thank you volunteers! You all are special! Looking Ahead We are scheduled to work a final Hold ‘Em event for the year that will be coming up Wednesday, December 1st thru Saturday, December 4th. Stay tuned for details on that one.
