Help the next generation of agricultural leaders apply for scholarships!
There are countless career opportunities in agriculture, and they aren’t just in farming! However, many students aren’t aware of the diverse possibilities. To that end, “America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders” was created. It is sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer, and is offering more than $500,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing an ag-related field of study.
Students (including non-FFA members) can apply now for a $1,500 scholarship. There will be a maximum of 352 scholarships awarded. Here are some details:
· The Program is open to students who are: 1) under the age of 23; 2) are high school seniors (public, private or homeschool) or full-time college students (enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours); 3) have at least a 2.5 GPA at the time the application is submitted; 4) agree to the terms of the Official Rules.
In addition, applicants must be pursuing or demonstrate an intent to pursue a degree related to agriculture from a two- or four-year higher education program and majoring in one of the following fields of study:

How to Apply for a Scholarship:
Eligible students must visit FFA.org/scholarships to complete the application between 12 a.m. Eastern Time on November 15, 2018 and 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on February 1, 2019. To be eligible, students must also obtain endorsements from two Eligible Farmers, as described below.
All applicants are required to complete all registration information (including, without limitation, your name, address and other contact information). All applications must be completed within the Program Entry Period to be eligible to win. Any applications received after the end of the Program Entry Period will not be accepted. All applications become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Limit one application per person, regardless of method of entry. Applications in excess of this limit are void.
Eligible students must obtain two endorsements from Eligible Farmers to complete the student’s scholarship application. Each student will be given a unique application ID number when he or she starts an application. Students must provide this application ID number to the two Eligible Farmers who will be providing the student’s endorsements.
To endorse a student, Eligible Farmers must visit FFA.org/scholarships or call 1-855-332-2577 by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on February 13, 2019. Farmers will be required to provide the application ID number of the student they wish to endorse, as well as their own name and contact information. Once the endorsement has been submitted and received by FFA, the farmer and the student will receive an email confirmation.
