2026 Community Foundation Scholarship and Senior Awards Report Part Four

In this issue’s installment we are featuring scholarship recipient Quinn Kovalchik, (pictured below), daughter of Nate & Neena Kovalchik of Sunfield who lives within the prescribe application boundaries, but attended and graduated from “school of choice” Grand Ledge.  Quinn received a $7,500 scholarship from the Sunfield Community Foundation.  In college she plans on pursuing a forensic science and criminal justice program.

Meet The New Mechanic In The Area

Pictured is Josh Carroll who is the owner of JW’s Automotive, which is located in the old Boyer’s Service Station on the corner in Mulliken.  Josh bought the business from Luther Senter, the previous occupant.  Mr. Carroll is a life-long top-notch mechanic and can fix anything automotive. His number is 517-731-6496.  Check him out.

Food Pantry Could Use Some Help!

The Sunfield Community Food Pantry is in need of volunteers.  The food pantry will be having a concession and bake sale at the Sunfield Park. The working hours are 10:00am to 4:00pm, with all proceeds going to the Food Pantry.  If you have the desire to help-out, please contact Sandy Rebec at 1-517-410-3364.  The plan is to have the concession stand (the old Lion's Den) open for 4 week-ends, during the ball games.  The other dates are June 20th - 21st, June 27th - 28th, and July 11th - 12th., with the same working hours.  So, if you can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.

Parting Comments

·      Deep Thought of the Week:

Work for a cause,

Not for applause.

Live life to express,

Not to impress.

Don’t strive to make your presence noticed,

Just make your absence felt.

·      Notable Quote: “The greatness of a leader is in his humility before God, not in his eloquence before men.”

·      That's Puny Department:  What do you call angry glasses?     (See-thing---think about it)

·      Did You Know Section:  It is against the law to leave your house in Thailand if you’re not wearing underwear.

·      NOTE:  If you know of anyone who would like to receive these “Sunfield Community Foundation Journals”, just send me an email at john.sandrafisher@gmail.com with their email address and we will take care of it.
