Parting Comments

·      Deep Thought of the Week: Be careful when you follow the masses.  Sometimes the “M” is silent!

·      Notable Quote: “Sadly, the politicians in Washington D. C. could swim all day in the Sea of Knowledge and still come out completely dry!”

·      That's Puny Department: I asked my friend to spell wonton backwards.  He said not now.

·      Insult-Of-The-Week:  Yo’ mama is so stupid, she cooks with Old Spice!

·      Did You Know Section: This week I have an interesting poser for you.  Here goes---Who are Paul Marcarelli; Stephanie Courtney; Dennis Haysbert; Jonathan Goldsmith; and Dennis Winters, and why are they famous?  They are the highest paid non-sports star or established celebrity actors that appear in commercials we all see on television almost every day:

+  Dennis Haysbert is the “You’re in good hands with All-State” guy with the deep voice.

+  Stephanie Courtney is “Flo” from the Progressive Insurance ads.  She makes well over $500,000 a year.

+  Paul Marcarelli has made over $10 million by being Verizon’s “Can you hear me now” guy.

+  Jonathan Goldsmith has made $8 million as Dos Equuis’ “Most interesting man in the world”.

+  Dennis Winters has done quite well as the All-State “Mayhem” guy, to the tune of over $4 million
