Starting today, (Wednesday, October 10th) is our next Texas Hold ‘Em event. Our chairman, Wendel Peabody is still looking to fill a couple of spots on the schedule for Thursday; Friday; or Saturday. This time around we will be splitting days with another charity so we will only need helpers from 11 AM to 6 PM on Thursday, and from 6 PM to Close on Friday and Saturday. Give Wendel a call (517-449-6018) if you can help out. Thanks!
· A BIG Sunfield Area SPY salute goes out to the following fine folks who
have stepped up and volunteered to take on the chairmanship of some of our events that were looking for new leadership. Thank you:
Casey Shettler---Our new Euchre event chairman.
Craig Cappon---Our new Softball Tournament chairman.
Steve Grosshans and Derek Desgranges---Our new Centennial Acres / Sunfield Area SPY’s Shootout Golf Tournament chairmen.
· If anyone is interested, a big classic car club from down in the Detroit
Area will be coming to Sunfield this Sunday October 14th. They are coming to town on a cruise to visit the Museum and the GAR Hall. There will be around 100 cars on display on Main Street that will be closed off for their visit. Come out and check out the cars!
· Here’s an update on the Wagon Wheel American Grill special yellow coupon benefit they did for the SPY’s. We netted $331.00 from the event. Thank you to all of the folks that turned out and supported this effort. And, a big thank you to Christina Grosshans for heading this up for us.
· As long as we’re on the subject of benefits involving food, did you know that the Sunfield---Sebewa---Danby Fire Department is putting on a Spaghetti Dinner this coming Tuesday, October 16th. The food is being provided by the Fazoli’s Restaurant chain. The menu includes Fazoli’s spaghetti with meat sauce or fettuccine alfredo, breadsticks, salad, and a drink.
